What to do for week 3

WEEK 3

Day 1: Monday
·         Review about the community helpers as well as places of the community.
·         Group the class into 5 groups and explain how the contest will be done and what the winner will win. The groups that did not win will still have a price.
Day 2: Tuesday
·         The children will be given pictures of the places of the community and community helpers and they will be asked to match the community helpers to the places of the community.
·         After matching, the teacher will discuss the answers to them.

Day 3: Wednesday
·         Teacher will be conducting a story telling about the community helpers as well as emphasizing on where they work.
·         Teacher discusses and asks questions to the children if they have learned something.

Day 4: Thursday
·         Teacher will give a review about community helpers as well as the places of the community.
·         Teacher will ask the children about what they want to become when they grow up.

Day 5: Friday
·         Teacher will let the children answer their power point presentation that serves as their projects.

What to do for week 2

WEEK 2


Week 2

Day 1: Monday
·         The teacher will inform the students that they will have a field trip on Friday and they will be given a letter for their parents to be placed on their notebooks.
·         The teacher will bring different pictures of places in the community like churches, school… etc. and be able to show them in class and discuss and ask the children from time to time about each of the pictures.

Day 2: Tuesday
·         The teacher will bring different pictures again and be able to make typed location identification cards.
·         The teacher will post the pictures on the board and give the children the typed location identification cards.
·         They will be asked to match the typed location identification cards from the pictures posted on the board.

Day 3: Wednesday
·         The teacher will introduce a song for the class about the places of the community called “The Community Song.”

·         The teacher will make a puzzle of the places of the community and will be posted on the board as soon as the groups will be able to solve the puzzle and identify what the places of community are.

Day 4: Thursday
·         The teacher will ask the children about the places of the community, where we pray, where we learn, where we shop… etc.
·         The teacher will let them share about where their favorite place is and why.

Day 5: Friday
·         Field Trip day.
·         As they are exploring different places, let them see and share what we do inside different places of the community.

WEEK 1


Day 1: Monday
·         The class will be grouped and be asked to share what their parents do for a living.
·         The teacher will discuss on what their parents do.
Day 2: Tuesday
·         Story telling about the community helpers will be conducted in class using a power point presentation.
·         The teacher will discuss the story to the class and the children will identify the different community helpers being mentioned and ask them on what they did in the story.
Day 3: Wednesday
·         The teacher will again group the class and give them a 1 picture of a community helper. They will be asked to dramatize in class on what the certain community helper do for a living.
Day 4: Thursday
·         The teacher will invite different community helpers and let the certain community helper explain to the class what they do for the community and demonstrate to them what they do.
Day 5: Friday
·         The teacher will give them a review about the different community helpers discussed in class.
·         The children will be able to share on what they want to be when they grow up and why.
·         Teacher will give them a pencil and paper test about the community helpers to check if they understand the lesson.

overview of what's gonna happen for the week.

This week, the teacher would group the class and let them share what their parents do for a living and then the teacher would make a power point presentation to be able to conduct a story about the community helpers. They would also be able to dramatize different community helpers that are covering about what each community helper do to help our community. The teacher would make use of pictures of different places in the community to help the children identify different places of the community and also the teacher would conduct a field trip and be able to take pictures to be placed in a blog site for the parents to see and comment. As their project, they would answer in a power point presentation where in they would click the correct answer and if they click the wrong answer it won’t move to another slide.
